Hello and welcome, I'm Jennie
​​I help people struggling with persistent pain and other chronic symptoms reclaim their lives and feel good again.

Like you may have experienced, I spent years stuck in cycles of pain and anxiety, going from doctor to doctor, hoping that some scan, some treatment would finally 'show what's wrong' and cure me. I struggled daily with unrelenting pain that seemed to move around my body every couple of months or years.
I even became a physiotherapist, hoping that knowing the ins and outs of anatomy and pathology would be my ticket to being able to heal myself...wrong!
Today I am 100% pain free. However getting here has been a transformative journey of growth from the inside out. And a deeper, more scientific understanding of what pain really is - a danger signal in response to overall threat. Although the pain and symptoms are the problem, the answer lies deeper than just looking at the body. ​

Recovery can be simple, but it's not always easy. My goal as a coach and recovery practitioner is to guide you through the challenges and work of mind-body exploration so you can regain your health and live a life you deserve.

Stuck in the cycle of pain? There is a reason you aren't better...​
Persistent pain or pain that started out of the blue is fundamentally different to acute injury. So it cannot be treated successfully in the same way. Even if the pain goes away temporarily, so often another symptom crops up in its place.
​
You see the medical system, although wonderful for treating many ailments, is not designed to treat persistent pain and other persistent symptoms. It is not designed to uncover the roots of why you are experiencing pain.
​
Thankfully, the last ten to twenty years of using fMRI scans and up to date research into psychoneuroimmunology show us that recovery is possible, but only when we shift the focus from 'making pain/symptoms go away' to gradually creating internal safety and personal growth.
Persistent pain is primarily driven by over-protective chemical signalling within the brain and throughout the central nervous system. Of course the result of this is pain that is felt in the body and won't seem to go away.
This is where a neuroscience informed mind-body approach can help to start to shift the nervous system to safety, create new chemical signalling, and reduce the output of pain for protection.
